    How you will impact Ingevity

    Ingevity has a robust Sustainability initiative which is respected for high audit scores and its material impact on stakeholders.  This role will aid in laying the growth oriented Sustainability foundation at Ingevity.  Influencing the organization and demonstrating the value of Sustainability to all functions within the company will be key.

    • Reporting to the Director, Sustainability, this role will support overall sustainability initiative development/targets and impact the company image for corporate responsibility.
    • Having autonomy in determining how the position operates to achieve objectives. Within job area, is required to deliver tasks and outcomes to meet operational needs.
    • Interact with, research and prepare data responses addressing customer, investor, and certifying agencies’ requests, inquiries, questionnaires, and audits.
    • Develop, manage and coordinate metrics and data reporting for goal reporting and enterprise Sustainability achievements.
    • Understand and implement Sustainability Reporting Standards.
    • Engage with external organizations to support registration of Ingevity products as bio-based or renewable.
    • Work with internal departments to ensure updated claims and certifications are properly reflected and collateral/public information sources are updated appropriately.
    • Develop training materials and facilitate training on Sustainability.
    • Coordinate and support local initiatives as they relate to Sustainability


    What you need to succeed

    • BS Degree (Science, Engineering or Finance) or higher is preferred.
    • Experience managing complex data and information is preferred.
    • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience influencing others, indirectly, within the organization, working cross functionally to achieve goals.
    • A minimum 3 to 5 years of operational/functional knowledge and experience in either:
      • establishing a Sustainability program, achieving Sustainability targets, creating reporting/metrics, or facilitating the achievement of corporate accreditations/ certifications, OR
      • experience within Ingevity, having a general understanding of Ingevity’s business, operations, and products
    • Ability to communicate effectively through written, verbal, and electronic means, at all levels of the organization, from the floor to the C-suite.
    • GRI Reporting or Sustainability Training experience is a plus.
    • Travel up to 25%
