    How you will impact Ingevity

    Ingevity is recognized by government agencies, NGOs, and trade associations around the world for its outstanding and broad understanding of all aspects related to evaporative emission control – from the modeling of vapor generation and control efficiency to the estimation of national inventories and impacts on air quality.  As environmental agencies increasingly focus on reducing emissions and improving air quality, they rely upon us to provide them with guidance on policy and regulation.  We are looking for a capable and motivated person to join us in these activities.

    • Play a pivotal role in the advancement of effective and efficient air quality control solutions worldwide.
    • Serve as a national and international spokesperson on issues related to the role of emission control policies and act as a technical spokesperson and analyst for Ingevity.
    • Analyze technical and regulatory publications related to evaporative and refueling emissions and the application of activated carbon in the emissions control industry.
    • Establish key components of global emission control assessment campaigns, in partnership with leaders within Ingevity, industry and environmental regulatory communities around the world.
    • Establish consistent environmental impact analyses for proven emissions control technologies.
    • Advocate on technology and policy issues important to Ingevity in the US and abroad.
    • Assist in guiding Ingevity research and development projects designed to further assess and refine evolving emissions control solutions.

    What you need to succeed

    • An advanced degree, preferably Ph.D., in Chemical Engineering or another appropriate field.
    • A minimum of 5 – 7 years of related industry or environmental agency regulatory experience.
    • Substantial experience in supporting or leading state-level or national policy-making and/or regulatory development is critical. t.
    • Work in automotive testing or emissions control systems engineering is a plus.
    • Strong technical capability for modeling and analysis.
