    How you will impact Ingevity

    The Production Engineer will provide technical and engineering support for the Crossett Tall Oil Refinery & Derivative operations. This could include process optimization, capital project development, project management, process control, process safety management, product development, quality management, and process reliability improvement.


    • Provide technical and engineering support for day-to-day operation of the Tall Oil Refinery & Derivative production systems and lead troubleshooting efforts.
    • Develop and execute weekly, monthly, and annual operations and maintenance reliability programs for these processes.
    • Assist with development and design of equipment and processes to support customer needs, safety/environmental compliance, and efficient operation.
    • Initiate projects to insure process safety & personal safety, and evaluate all changes to mitigate potential risks.
    • Make recommendations for process improvements and capital expenditures in support of the area’s productivity, safety, environmental, maintenance, quality, and cost reduction objectives.
    • Develop and facilitate training for operations group in implementation of operating procedures, safety/environmental protocol, and new/revised processes and equipment.
    • Potentially lead project construction, equipment installation, manage contractors, project budgets, schedules, etc.
    • Potentially support steam system or environmental system optimization.

    What you need to succeed

    • BS in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, or related industrial experience.
    • 3+ years in production and/or process/project related experience.
    • Possesses strong interpersonal relationship skills, problem solving/troubleshooting skills, and
    • written/verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
    • Understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
    • Understanding of Human Resources goals relating to EEOC, Affirmative Action, and Diversity.
    • Ability to travel 3-6 times per year
