    How you will impact Ingevity

    The Wickliffe Production Manager oversees all aspects of plant production activities in a 24/7 operation.  The Production Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and environmentally sound operations of the plant; establishes the primary strategy with the Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering organizations to maintain the facility and improve its reliability while meeting the expense budget; complies with all Environmental, Health , and Safety laws and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures.

    • This role is expected to pursue improvements to individual and plant performance. This may require oversight of special teams to foster and drive improvements.
    • Build strong knowledge and understanding around SHE rules regulations to maintain a strong culture of compliance and values.
    • Oversee all grades of activated carbon production and packaging.
    • Manage and direct Plant area engineers, area coordinators, and shipping coordinator.
    • Work with the S&OP team to ensure that operational schedules are efficiently executed to meet business demands.
    • Has authority to set vision, implement short-term and long range strategy, set budget, and represent the company in interactions concerning the facility. Authority to make all decisions that are necessary to operate the facility safely, reliably and in an environmentally sound manner.
    • Serve as a member of the plant leadership team developing the overall plant vision and culture.

    What you need to succeed

    • BS in Engineering or equivalent.
    • 10 years Production \ Manufacturing experience.
    • Proven managerial and leadership skills.
    • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience is preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Be an active and engaged safety leader to build and maintain a strong safety culture to achieve zero personal and process safety incidents.
