How you will impact Ingevity

As the BSA for the Plant Floor, you will provide solution consulting to Ingevity combining people, process and technology. The position will promote collaboration for all plant floor applications in coordination with Ingevity strategic initiatives to drive business results. You will provide application governance of common standards, policies and methodologies, while working in close partnership with consulting vendors to develop blueprints and approve functional specs. Reporting to the IT Manager, Plant Floor Systems, you will support a consistent architecture and uniform approach across the organization; ensure end to end process integration across business and manufacturing processes. You’ll aid in the construction of application roadmaps to drive the implementation and enhancement of plant floor applications in support of Ingevity business strategy.

  • SH&E technical support - MSDS, air emissions, water, waste.
  • Engineering tool kit technical support - CAD, 6 sigma, Drawing Management systems, and simulation software.
  • MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) technical and functional design and support.
  • Supply Chain - know and understand how plants conduct business transactions into ERP systems - production planning and execution.
  • Data Historian technical and functional design and integration support.
  • Quality management technical and functional design and integration support.
  • Product Tracking technical and functional design and integration support.
  • Coordination of functional users for SH&E, Engineering, and plant applications.
  • Provide functional and/or technical leadership and coordination of application implementation or upgrade.
  • Supporting the team’s discovery process for new requirements for SH&E, Engineering, and plant floor applications.
  • Working with various IT partners, provide technical support for manufacturing labeling systems.
  • Support Proficy and Iomosiac applications.
  • Support OSIsoft PI application.
  • Help support open text for plant floor related applications.
  • Coordination of work with outsource providers.
  • Coordination of testing with business.
  • Work closely with local field service organization to coordinate hardware and software requirements required for plant floor systems.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelors’ degree in IT, Engineering, or business/related field.
  • Documented Plant floor application implementation experience and knowledge of plant floor systems.
  • 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, configuration or support of plant floor applications in many of the above areas of responsibility.
  • Experience with managing highly complex IT projects.
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to support the collaboration with the business units in delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Ability to establish and lead across internal, external and offshore functional teams; ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel 25% is required.
