    How you will impact Ingevity

    The Technical Training Manager will be responsible for managing training requirements and driving capability improvements within the Charleston Plant organization.

    • Responsible for managing and tracking all required regulatory training for all Charleston Plant employees.
    • Lead operations and engineers in the capability development of our employees to support SHE and production goals.
    • Candidate will be the administrator for the Learning Management System, Compliance Tracker, and Electronic Document Management System.
    • Coordinate and execute training for all new hourly employees. Responsible for documenting training completion for all hourly and salaried positions.
    • Responsible for development of new training courses as needed.
    • Develop and maintain the 5-year training plan for the Charleston Plant.
    • Assign and track plant wide Procedure Reviews and Refresher Training.
    • Participate in Responsible Care and other regulatory audits.
    • Participate as requested on plant committees in support of safety, environmental, organizational, quality, and manufacturing objectives.
    • Interface with Ingevity’s Corporate Organizational Development to implement best practices for training in the Charleston Plant.

    What you need to succeed

    • Bachelor's degree preferred.  Equivalent experience will be considered.
    • 5+ years production/operations related experience preferred.
    • Strong computer/software skills and the ability to solve problems independently are required.
    • Candidate should be capable of thorough, detailed work and be passionate about improving the capability of the organization.
    • Work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
    • Understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
    • 0-10% travel required.
