How you will impact Ingevity

The Engineering/Maintenance Manager will provide engineering and maintenance support and services to include design, drawings, prototypes, construction supervision, final inspection and necessary training for engineers and operators.

  • Manage capital program to include capital planning, facility planning, and cash flow management
  • Manage and monitor progress of project engineering group to include engineering reports, AFE preparation and submittals, engineering, construction and startup assistance
  • Manage contractor program
  • Direct process control group
  • Direct Mechanical Integrity program
  • Manage maintenance department
  • In all areas of responsibility, ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, safety and health regulations and requirements
  • Develop individuals and the organization through training, mentoring and managing performance.
  • Travel Requirements: 1-4 days per month

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelors of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required
  • 10+ years of related experience required, manufacturing/industrial environment preferred
  • Proven experience planning, managing and implementing projects.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively through oral and written communication
  • Skilled in problem-solving and troubleshooting sometimes complex technical challenges
  • Working knowledge of cash flow accounting, and a broad understanding of structural, civil, electrical, mechanical and process control engineering.
  • Leadership skills to include organizational, facilitation, teambuilding, mentoring and delegation.

This position is contingent upon Ingevity closing the acquisition of Georgia Pacific’s Pine Chemicals business per the terms of the Asset Purchase Agreement, dated August 22, 2017.
