How you will impact Ingevity

You will execute processes within the HR function to ensure that we are delivering world class employee relations and organizational development. What you need to succeed

  • Experience working in both a union and non-union manufacturing environment including alternative dispute resolution, grievance/arbitration settlement, and labor negotiations.
  • Ability to engage others to build trusting relationships with employees, managers, and leaders throughout the organization.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of strategies to optimize structure, processes, and people to support business goals
  • Provide advice and counsel to leaders and employees. Serve as a primary contact for employee relations
  • Assist in the recruiting and selection of the right talent to achieve business objectives
  • Lead the development of individuals and teams. Identify programs and tools to improve development areas  
  • Strong understanding and ability to ensure compliance with local, state and federal labor laws.
  • Ability to deliver effective training and development that reinforces change and development of skills.
  • Ability to lead, manage multiple projects, and complete activities accurately and on time.
  • Proven track record as an HR partner and strategist with strong leadership, accountability and organizational skills.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience in commercial and manufacturing business environments.
  • Bachelors’ degree in HR or related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically
  • Position has flexibility to be located in Deridder, LA or Crossett, AR

This position is contingent upon Ingevity closing the acquisition of Georgia Pacific’s Pine Chemicals business per the terms of the Asset Purchase Agreement, dated August 22, 2017.
