How you will impact Ingevity

  • Provide technical expertise and value-adding product stewardship and regulatory services to internal and/or external customers and their commercial partners
  • Integrate with defined business groups to develop intimate knowledge of business strategy, chemistry, products, end use application markets, in order to provide strong product stewardship and regulatory support to the business groups
  • Use professional judgment to manage complex regulatory challenges having multiple interpretations to meet business needs while adhering to corporate ethical and legal conduct guidelines
  • Manage various datasets in the Product Stewardship and Regulatory databases
  • Direct customer support & regulatory communication to both internal & external customers
  • Author and manage distribution of Safety Data Sheets and labels for compliance to various global standards

What you need to succeed

  • BS degree in chemistry, toxicology, or related scientific discipline from an accredited college/university
  • Advanced degree in chemistry preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of organic chemistry required
  • Previous experience in a product stewardship, regulatory, or compliance position required
  • Experience in the chemical industry required (PS&R, EH&S, A&QC, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations)
  • Experience with controlled work flow processes and documentation (ISO, GMP)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal Ingevity employees, external contacts, and Product Stewardship and Regulatory team members
  • Proficient with computer basics and common business related computer software programs and acumen toward learning new software
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to changing environments, and be motivated to take on and anticipate new challenges within the Global Product Stewardship and Regulatory Group
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multi-tasking work demands.
  • Analytical ability to interpret fine line meanings of government regulations
