How you will impact Ingevity

  • Support safety program to include safety activities in all aspects of the job.
  • Provide technical assistance and process troubleshooting for all products. Provide off grade product disposal guidance to production managers and production engineers.
  • Project manager for new product introduction into the plant to include NPRF form, lab scale up, process and batch sheet revisions, QC test methods, product specifications, conduct pre and post plant trial meetings, MOC, PHA, PSSR, PSM, raw material evaluations, training and plant trials with emphasis on safety, product quality, cost effectiveness, cycle time reduction, and minimizing in-process adjustments.
  • Determine and implement process improvements. Perform quality reviews, lab scale up, develop /revise MP/BS, QC test methods, product specifications, conduct pre and post plant trial meetings, training and plant trials with emphasis on safety, reducing cycle time, number of adjustments, and cost.
  • Monitor and interpret statistical quality data to resolve production issues. Provide quality reports as needed.
  • Develop and support plant and lab instrumentation to improve quality.
  • Provide technical support for and serve as liaison between production, sales, and technical groups.

What you need to succeed

  • BS degree in Chemistry preferred.
  • Knowledge of chemistry and chemical engineering fundamentals related to batch and continuous operations, productions systems, and statistical methods.
  • Functional and technical, written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with planning and implementation.
  • Innovative self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills and an analytical background.
  • Generally 5 years related industrial experience
  • Travel requirements are 1-2 days per month
