How you will impact Ingevity

  • Plan orders into shipments for both domestic and international movements.
  • Make sure that all load plans maximize the utilization factors to meet the customer order requirements.
  • Complete all transactions to support the execution of material movements within the supply chain.
  • Deliver standardized, streamlined operations with consistent high value services across all shipping facilities and transportation modes.
  • Work with external customers and suppliers to ensure the supply chain is optimized and responsive.
  • Monitor all aspects of the shipment execution process to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate between customer service, scheduling, site management, production/inventory planning and vendor operations to meet customer order shipping requirements.
  • Use TMS and other systems to optimize shipment plans and carrier selection based on delivery requirements, order characteristics, and shipping capacity constraints of the operation.
  • Handle inquiries from Customer Service and Sales, Distribution & Planning.

What you need to succeed

  • College degree is preferred.
  • Prefer 1 to 2+ years business experience in areas such as Transportation, Logistics, Distribution, Customer Service, or Planning & Scheduling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is desired.
  • Prior TMS systems knowledge is a plus.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Some travel to assigned support locations is required
  • This position requires the individual to be periodically on call for evening and weekends, and may require some off-hour vacation fill-in.
  • Demonstrated leadership, high stress tolerance, ability to actively participate on a high-performance team and maintain enthusiasm for change is a must.
