As a member of the Global Total Rewards Team, supports the effective design, delivery and communication of compensation and global mobility programs across all Ingevity business units globally.  This position reports to the Manager, Compensation and Global Mobility

How you will impact Ingevity

Compensation Administration

  • Supports market pricing and job evaluation of new and existing positions
  • Analyzes global compensation practices to ensure market competitive rewards, internal equity and legal compliance 
  • Participates in salary surveys and administers the market pricing (MarketPay) and job evaluation (Mercer IPE) systems. Works to ensure completeness, consistency and accuracy of global salary survey matches and job evaluations
  • Supports administration of the year-end base salary and incentive processes as well as the modeling, analysis and communication of current and future broad-based incentive plans
  • Supports administration of long-term incentive programs
  • Supports configuration, testing, data validation and analytics within the HRIS system (Workday)
  • Assists in automation and standardization of processes to better support new and existing compensation initiatives (i.e. global compensation technology, commercial compensation, market data management, market pricing infrastructure, etc.)
  • Builds partnerships with business and HR leaders to ensure compensation programs are understood and properly administered throughout the organization; partner with communications teams to develop and deploy appropriate training, education and communication including incentive plan communication
  • Participates in special projects associated with commercial compensation or other compensation initiatives

Global Mobility Administration

  • Assists administration of the corporate relocation, expatriate management and immigration support programs
  • Supports management of 3rd party global mobility vendors including regular updates, coordination between groups, project tracking, invoicing, data validation and reporting
  • Analyzes global mobility practices to ensure programs are market competitive, legally compliant and effectively support the company’s Human Resources strategy
  • Provides clarification on global mobility policies and participates in projects as needed

What you need to succeed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a quantitative discipline such as Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, I/O psychology, etc.
  • 1 - 2 years of professional experience in an analytical role
  • Experience working with data, including: databases, validation, reporting, modeling, visualization, and storytelling
  • Strong aptitude in Excel and other Microsoft Suite products (Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize, take initiative and consistently deliver high-quality, accurate work within deadlines
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and make logical decisions
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Collaborative, customer service oriented team player necessary for success
  • Ability to explain complex programs and technical information in a clear and consistent manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years progressive compensation experience in at least two of the following areas: base pay administration, variable pay, and sales incentives
  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices, principles and compensation experience working across multiple geographies
  • CCP Certification
  • Experience participating in salary surveys
  • Experience working in an HRIS system such as Workday, SAP, ADP, etc.
  • Experience with MarketPay or similar market pricing system
  • Experience with a sales compensation system
