The Maintenance Planner will work with the maintenance and production groups to prepare work orders for execution at the Waynesboro Production facility.  The maintenance planner will ensure that all resources, (parts and personnel) are properly allocated for jobs.  The job requires extensive use of SAP and an understanding of proper maintenance work flow. 

How you will impact Ingevity

  • Support plant safety program by including safety activities in all aspects of the job.
  • Ensure that maintenance (mechanical and electrical/instrument) jobs are properly planned to meet the scope and timeline required by production personnel
  • Ensure that all aspects of the job are ready in advance to ensure effective use of craftsmen’s time and minimize production downtime.
  • Provide On-Call support for 24/7 operation as required.
  • Be the local expert on SAP based computer programs that support maintenance activities.
  • Work with maintenance project engineer on reliability projects throughout the plant.
  • Backfill supervising maintenance workforce for maintenance project engineer.
  • Work with maintenance systems coordinator to ensure correct and adequate spare parts are stored on site while working to minimize parts inventories to appropriate levels.

What you need to succeed

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
  • Must be proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Understand maintenance jobs and work flow and be able to identify scope of work in order to plan and execute jobs.
  • Previous experience directing the workforce a plus.
  • Technical skills, writing skills, communication skills including leading group meetings, training skills, multi-tasking, and use of problem solving tools.
